Yes, if no other time, the family sat together and had good conversations over dinner. That was a great start to the week. Seriously though, cooking Sunday dinner was like a project. As a family we'd have to decide who's doing what. I was often on salads and juices, my sister would do the rice and peas but would also help to make the marinade from the night before. Dad would break the coconuts for the rice and peas. Mom cooked the poultry or meat. I think my brother did the dishes(I must call him and ask him what he did. Somehow it seems vague 😂)
I think we can fairly say Jamaicans are patient on Sundays if no other time. Sunday dinners take a loooonng time. Church wasn't for a short time either.😂😂😂We had to prepare a part of the dinner before church and finish up when we got back from church.
