Splinterlands Daily Focus : Defense

Today focus is Defense. When I first saw the focus, I wasn't really sure about what the Defense focus was. Only playing for a while, I realized that I need to include shield cards and shield repair cards in the line up. Of course, the cards have to be owned or rented in.

As I was in the Silver league, focus point required for getting a focus chest is 5K+ points. It became a bit tough for me even to get 1 focus chest. I had to play quite a number of battles to pass the 5K mark and I was lucky to win the last battle with enough focus points just to pass it before focus time was up. Right after the battle is finished, there was this server maintenance. Should I lost this last battle, I'd be left with no focus chest to open even though I played so many battles.

So.. I guess I should share that last battle of the day. The battle was Death vs Life splinters. Rules being Reversed Speed and Little League, which meant slowest cards attack first and only maximum 4 mana cards. Mana cap was 20.

_{I decided to use Chaos Agent in the first place followed by Riftwing with scavengerability. I was a bit worried with Riftwing because even slow monster could hit because of the rule. In the first round, my Undead Badger got killed before it can attack. My sniper managed to eliminate shield repair card. 3 cards eliminated in the first round and as a result, Riftwing became having 8 hit points.}

_{2 more cards were eliminated ind round 2 and Riftwing became even stronger. My Life Sapper was gradually stronger as well.}

_{Riftwing still maintain its health even though it was attacked and damaged as one more card got eliminated.}

_{As my team managed to take out the enemy tank, my Life Sapper was safe from being attack by 2 cards as its health became very low.}

_{Riftwing had accumulated enough hit points that after getting attack for so many rounds until round 9, it still was left with initial health.The battle result was settled in roound-9.}

Silver league I is quite a tough league and not easy to reach to 6.5K focus points. I barely managed to get a single focus chest and expect a nice reward. And I got a legendary potion, is it a joke? For several seasons, I got lousy rewards from Silver league. I have to say my Bronze league rewards were even batter. What can I say.. it is about chance after all.
