I've just finished "The Teacher" by Sarah McFadden and have read "The women in the attic" before. I was so enthousiastic about that book that I was happy I found another book of her. I finished The Teacher just this week and I really liked it (Review here), but as you mention, I also think you can get used to her style of writing and I don't know when the style will get boring. That might be especially true for a series about one subject, like the Housemaid.
