The British crypto-company Electroneum, launched their "Mobile Miner" yesterday (5 of march 2018).

Great news everyone!
We have just launched the long awaited Mobile Miner! A simple way to earn cryptocurrency from your smartphone… If you own an Android smart phone, then Electroneum is the easiest way in the world to earn and spend a cryptocurrency. You will find the link to the official app on the Google Play Store from http://electroneum.com

The idea is that you can use your smartphone to mine Electroneum, this might seem a bit crazy since smartphones don't really have that much CPU, but for the smartphone mining app, (as I understand it from reading their blog), a different method is being used, the coins for the "Mobile Miner" are all ready pre-mined, and they are using a different algorithm to give you a "mining experience".

The mobile miner is a separate algorithm that rewards users with ETN cryptocurrency at no cost.

I know Electroneum has a real cult following online, and that they made some deals with some pretty big players, I also heard people telling me things like:

"I would not touch Electroneum with a 10-foot pole"
