From the Human oppressor perspective, it makes total sense to :

1. Delete your control over reproduction.
2. Lower drastically your energy.

I think you are right for the male perspective.
I have experiment a little with this to the point I can, if I want, not ejaculate during intercourse.
But I never commit a lot on this matter. (maybe I should, for the energetic work)

From some readings I had, It seems the woman way is different.
They should learn how to master and control their periods.
The end goal being choosing when they want to ovulate.
