If you can explain hodlethereum.com to me, I have an ETH with your name on it!
Up to this point I’ve run my entire operation out of pocket and savings. For that reason, I am not yet able to pay those who have helped me get as far as I have. But they have been a tremendous help and do deserve something for their time, efforts, and contributions. This is where hodlethereum.com comes into play.
@crypt0 mentioned the aforementioned site in a recent video and I really want to take advantage of the concept, but I am such a crypto amateur that I don’t understand some basic things. I am hoping someone can and will explain it all and break it down for me.
What I want to do is deposit one full ETH for each member of the group that has been involved in the development of the game. It’s not much, but it is better than nothing, and I certainly want to do something given how far we’ve come, and all the progress that has been made. Of course there will be a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in the not too distant future, from which they will all benefit directly. But the game isn’t yet ready for that, and I don’t feel they shouldn’t be left hanging in the meantime.
At the site mentioned above, I see the address where/how you make the deposit. But I am not a programmer. I don’t have the base of knowledge or depth of understanding to discern whether or not that site is legit, and whether or not the code on display actually matters, means anything, or will deliver what is promised or advertised.
I also don’t know how to redeem the ETH when that time comes. Do I return to the site? On July 30th, 2020, will there be a new interface on that site for redemptions? It says I need my private key, but where is that? I currently use the Exodus.io wallet, and am not sure where to find that key. Or perhaps I should use a different wallet altogether…? I am aware of how basic some of these concepts are, and the sophisticated crypto-nerds of the world are probably baffled at how I could not understand these simple things. Forgive me. We all start somewhere, and this is where I currently am. So I am reaching out to the community for help on this one.
If there is anyone out there who could make a tutorial breaking this process down for me, I will give you a full, 1.0 ETH for your time and effort. Of course I will need to verify the information supplied is accurate. There are too many cryptocurrency scams out there to take everything, or anything, at face value, or on faith. But whoever can help me out with this, I would greatly appreciate it.
NOTE: If a multitude of people come through with tutorials, my group will figure out a way to select a single “winner”. But we will also post video/audio of that deliberation so the process is transparent as possible. So please be a good sport and don’t take it personal if 10 video tutorials come in and yours isn’t chosen. For the 5-10 best runner-ups, we might do something like 0.1-0.5 ETH. But if 50 people make tutorials, we will just have to pick the one we feel is best. Thank you to everyone again.
Regards,
Joshua Abraham
