Wind-wood quintet

Hello friends of steemit today I will talk about what is a wooden quintet; is a musical group composed of a flute, an oboe, a clarinet, a bassoon and a French horn. It has managed to position itself as one of the most chamber music groups, famous and important thanks to the great acceptance it has had among the composers of the 20th century.

As you could see it is made up of 4 wooden wind instruments and one metal, all with a different technique and different timbres that is what makes it more great as a quintet that is why it is one of my favorite quintets.

One of the first composers who wrote music for this musical formation was Anton Reicha, who composed 24 wooden wind quintets from 1811, which were very successful. Another famous composer for wood quintets was Franz Danzi with 9 compositions.
