Hello steemians, I am here again to continue the series of African Proverbs. In most cases it is rarely known who composed a particular proverb. Proverbs are usually accredited to wise men and women or elders of old. In most African societies when proverb is cited, it is preceded with a statement like "OUR FATHERS SAY..."
For today, our fathers say;
• The good look of a moron don't stay that way for long.
• The haughty blind person picks a fight with his guide.
• The orphan does not rejoice after a heavy breakfast.
• The voice of a strong person is obeyed immediately.
• The friend of a fool is a fool.
• The world has reach a sad state in which cracking an egg breaks the pot.
• The end of an ox is beef, and the end of a lie is grief
• The day the monkey is destined to die, all the trees get slippery.
• The cane used in beating the senior wife is waiting patiently for the junior wife.
• One fly causes the whole carcase of a cow to rot.
• Send a thief to catch a thief.
• Living is worthless for one without a home.
