• I am no expert of bidbots but there are many similar services out there and you can help by researching them.
• DEC can be used to promote posts by anyone (I use it regularly and have used it to promote new members' posts); same for other bidbots or services such as @minnowbooster - see https://steemit.com/minnowbooster/@minnowbooster/minnowbooster-the-whitelist
  when you send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome with a steemian's id, you get 50% of the benefit as you said. But, what if it is for yourself? - you'll have to go to the discord for SBI to find out the answer to this and similar questions.
