As we are opening up the door and sharing more of our lives with others, there is always a time to film! Especially when you are doing something awesome. I love the hashtag #mylifeisdope, because I believe it.
We wanted to take everyone along with us while we head out to cut firewood. It isn't for our personal use, but for the farmer that owns the land we are staying on.
Just less than a month ago we found out that he had been diagnosed with cancer and he had sold part if the farm. Unfortunately, it is the part that we stay on. So we are headed out in just a couple of months.
Before we go we want to make sure that we take care of some of the bigger chores. I know that fighting cancer will leave him with less energy, so the more we can help him the better.
On a second part of the farm they have a glamping site. It is out in the woods, but it is pretty fancy. One of the things they offer is firewood. So the glampers can have a nice fire going whenever they want.
Two years ago a storm blew down a whole field of trees. So the farmer has been pulling them up and using them for glamping firewood.
It was quite the battle getting back to it. Stacie D was putting this video together and got some shots of me plowing snow and cutting wood.
It is so nice that we can head out as a family and get things done. It really turns big jobs into little ones.
Be well
