Everytime I turn on the news or social media I am given a healthy dose of racism. I am being given a look at what is happening in the world around me, and I am being told just what to believe.
One aspect of the current situation in our world is that people just don't believe something is real, even when it is "real" to someone else. Whether it is racism, sexual identity, or religious discrimination.
As someone that is a believer in "conspiracy theories", I am starting to see the irony in all of it. We are spiritual beings on a human journey, and we are all sorting out our own experiences. The issue might be that we need some sort of control?!
Is it possible that we create an understanding so that we feel like we have some sort of control?
Do we project our beliefs in others and try to get then to understand our beliefs so we can validate what is happening with that certain belief?
I think that is a blazingly ironic that people will tell someone else that something doesn't exist just because they don't experience it. All while pushing a narrative of truth.
As someone that believes in God, it is not lost on me. If you are black and you are trying to explain racism to someone....I bet it looks alot like a believer trying to explain God to an atheist haha.
There is no doubt that we humans are doing everything in our power to tear each other apart.
We can do better. Live more.
Be well.
