Curve balls. Problems. Situations. Tasks. Chores. All have something in common, they are things that we face in our lives. Not everything is cut and dry. Not everything is just spelled out for us to automatically know how to do. When we are troubleshooting life we need to do out homework.
We are faced with something new everyday. Something needs to be done, or taken care of. We need to figure out how to get that thing done, and where do we find the resources to get it all done.
We are often surrounded by a community of people that have a ton of information and are willing to help. Just about everyone has a smart phone and can google. That still doesn't mean that we are going to know what to do.
Stacie D and I are facing some pretty amazing decisions. In just the next couple of months we have to completely plan as much as we can, and hit the road. Yep, we have decided to go back on the road! We are also working through the continued development of Inner Blocks. I am still working to sort out whatever is making our suburban run bad.
When we start tearing into the many things that life throws at us, we do have many ways to try to figure it out, but do we know how to apply it. I believe there is an element of instinct that we need to have to put it all together.
As human animals, instincts are what make us survive. They are the gut knowing of what to do. It is what lets up be able to function everyday and not end up laying in a ditch.
It is also the primary tool when having babies. It doesn't matter what anyone tells us about raising kids...if we don't have instinct, that kid is in trouble. It is the very primal drive in side of us and our ability to know without knowing.
So when we are trouble shooting our life we have to remember to do the work. To do the research. To talk to the people around us. To learn as much as we can, and then to go with what we "know" is going to work.
Be well
