Thanks for joining me today!!! This is so exciting. I have recently had the most amazing experience with underwater retrieval. I was able to find my father inlaws glasses at the bottom of Lake Cumberland.
The story goes like this...
On Sunday we arrived to meet Stacie D's parents at the lake, and then they will lead us back to the cabin. When we met up with them they told us the story about her dad diving into the lake with his glasses on. At the boat ramp they were walking their dog and he though he would dive in, but completely forgot that he had his glasses on.
Jump to yesterday, Tuesday, and we started out day at the ramp. I had this real itch to try to dive and find them. If you know anything about me, you know that I love being in the water cruising on the bottom. It is like the world turns on while I am down there.
I started pretty shallow and just trolling around where the concrete ramp went into the water, and then started diving deeper. I could only see about 3 to 4 feet in front of me, so I was a bit more cautious. Lake Cumberland is up to 300 feet in some spots, so I was very aware about the drop off.
I worked my way down to the 9 and 10 foot range. I would dive down and then hold onto a big rock and wait for the water to clear up a bit. After about 10 to 15 minutes, I was on the bottom and one of my sons jumped in and stirred up the water. When the water cleared I could see his glasses sitting between two rocks on the edge. They didn't quite reach the drop off. I snatched them up, and have forever written a story I will tell to anyone that will listen!
Thank you all for joining me for my daily vlog today. I hope you are having an amazing adventure too!
Be well
