For as long as I can remember, I see life differently. When it comes to how I view my family, friends, my animals, and hobbies. Not in a bad way... Just differently.
I try to live with as much passion and zeal as I can muster, and treat each moment just like the unique place in time that it is.
I have said it many times that I believe we are spiritual beings on a human journey and not humans on a spiritual journey. There is something very special about what we are experiencing.
When we stop to appreciate a moment, we find that it is a one of a kind. It will ever only happen once. If we try to recreate it, it won't be the same.
Whether it is the passing of time, the state of the material, or the position of the sun and moon. Each moment is a marker in history.
We often treat our lives like we are going to live forever. We have slow days that we spend all day in our pajamas watching movies. Not that it is bad, as long as that is what we are meaning to do! It is the accidental wasting of time that I am talking about.
I wish I were more consciously aware of each moment I live. I could make a detailed memory lime a high definition photograph that I get to keep forever.
The joy that comes from fully living each moment is something that I am beginning to unnderstand. Opening myself up to the possibility, opportunity of each experience.
For Stacie D's (@freedomtowrite) birthday we went down to the river. We spent the whole day playing. Swimming, rock jumping, and just, well, playing.
One of the things that happened there was a fire tower. My two sons and a friend started to build this island tower out in the river. It wad very solid and had a wide base. It came up out of the water like a signal beacon.
The idea was to light a fire on the tower and have it burning while being surrounded by water. It was beautiful. It was standing by itself while burning, it was majestic.
So I got some shots of it.
Thank you for joining me for this bit of adventure!
Be well
