This is an amazing step in the progress of our tiny home. Ok, maybe it isn't tiny but it is very small. We have been working toward completing this build for nearly 4 years. We have just recently gotten a little motivation to really wrap it up. We are looking forward to moving! We are preparing to sell our property and start a brand new homestead, hopefully in Northern Wisconsin. So for this step we are cutting in and installing the kitchen sink. Thank you 
Kitchen Sink Install
STEP ONE
The first is to measure. This is absolutely the most important part of the entire install. There are countless stories of people cutting the hole too big and the sink going clean through the hole. Measure two or three times!
It is very important to ensure the lines are square. This will make sure your sink is set square, and you don't always stare at it thinking something isn't quite right. I use a 4' straight edge and a pencil.
For this I used the distance between the lips undernearth the sink. It is usually a 1/2" in from each edge. In our case this led to an 18" x 32" opening
Step Two
Putting in starter holes to cut is pretty important. Since I am going to use a jig saw to cut the hole, the starter holes need to be just larger than my blade.
Step Three
For cutting I use a jigsaw and a pretty impressive wood bit. The holes that I drilled were in the front corners. I don't run my saw full speed because I don't want to get off the line without being able to stop quick. So I follow the line slowly from one corner, to the back. Across the back. From the other corner to the back. My last cut is across the front. That was a little tricky because I built with 2x4 and it is where I needed to cut.
With all of this comes the funny part, the look on Stacie D's face when I cut out a big hole in her counter.
Step Four
Putting the sink into the hole was very gratifying. It made it turn from a work space into a kitchen. We were talking while I did this and we both agreed that people don't realize what all of this actually takes. Once the sink was inplace we had to put on clips underneath to hold the sink in place.
