My vlogs are a mix of all things that are my journey through this world. As I am starting a new week, my vlog today is about the sermon on the mount. Maybe not what you think, but something I noticed.
I have been born again for over 20 years now. What that means is that I have given my life to Jesus. At first it was fear based. It was about my destination after I died. Which seems to be a common theme taught in various denominations.
Over the past few years my mind has been opened to the idea that Jesus was teaching for right now, not later.
When we read certain passages it gives a feel that there may be two groups of people. One group has to do with the earth, and the other has to do with heaven.
Is it possible that Jesus was teaching about us bringing the kingdom of God here, now. That we create the kingdom here everyday through our actions and His spirit.
If we were to pray like Matthew 6:10,
"They kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" we would be saying that earth could resemble heaven through God's will.
This could be much deeper, but I will stop for today!
