If you are like me then you have been watching this whole thing unravel on social media. I have been watching the good and honest protests descend into chaos. Well, I have a few thoughts about that.
I have said it before, this is a war between good and evil... It is spiritual. Unfortunately, that means it is a war that is fought in the minds and hearts of the people. It is something that can only be seen through the actions of individuals.
As I watch the once peaceful protest turn into the future grounds of a civil war, there are a couple of thoughts I had.....
I want justice for George Floyd and all people being mistreated by people in positions of power in our society.
I fully support protesting.
Riots are counter productive.
There is no leader to make a deal.
There is no plan.
Please, don't misunderstand me. Voices need to be heard. Messages need to be shared. Points need to be made...... but resolution is the key for advancement. If there is no plan and no organization..... this can not be seen as something that will create change. This will only be seen as an attack on our country.
People are taking to the streets and are fully prepared to die in protest.... but they don't actually have a plan to make the situation better. Rioters are burning cities down, but have no plan to make the situation better.
If I were running a business and one of my employees did something terrible to someone, and then people wanted me to take action..... and then burnt my house down because they want me to do something for them..... i could no longer hear them. It would no longer be a situation for me to right a wrong and make change. It would now be me having to protect myself...which means no deal.
I don't know what people think is going to happen. Someone wearing a mask and starting a fire will be seen as a criminal..... Take your mask off.... Organize the people....have a plan....make REAL change.
What is happening now will just be more blood on the streets that people ignore, and when the streets empty, the media will find the next hot thing to talk about.
People are the change. Be REAL change.
