These last couple of days have been a great example of social networking. Have you ever do, or are you doing, something that has you connected with people via the internet? Yesterday, I made a great connection!
So, yesterday I made a post about the first finished knife that I have made in my new shop. It has gotten alot of attention, and alot of "good job". Not only did it bring in some compliments, but it brought in an order.
There was someone that saw my post and liked it so much that they wanted to order a knife. So yesterday, I spent the better half of the afternoon working away on this little bitty knife. They call them patch knives. It is less than 4 inches long.
It is funny working on a little knife. It is less material, but it seems to take the same amount of time as a large knife. This one is going to be used as a pocket knife. All of this happened because of social media, and social networking.
It used to be that your social sphere of influence may have been in your hometown and the surrounding towns, but that isn't the case anymore. With the internet our sphere of influence can now cover the entire world. It still blows my mind that we can connect with so many people with so little effort.
