As we are winding down our time here on the farm, we are looking to help out as much as we can. I can't believe it, we only have 8 more weeks here before we hit the road. This farm in Northern Michigan has been a good time. We have done alot, and learned even more.
The other day I was chatting with the farmer about how we could help him out before we go. Some things were pretty straight forward. He wants us to cut firewood for sure. It is a bit of a large undertaking, but it is our families bang zone. We can come together and really get alot of wood cut, split, and stacked pretty quickly.
Today Stacie D (@freedomtowrite) and I headed out to help with another project that he had on his list. He owns several rental properties, and just bought another. Behind the house is this old barn/garage that had been knocked down. He asked if we would be able to remove all of the metal roofing (keeping it in good condition), and then load up a trailer load of wood to bring back to the farm and burn.
It is some basic demo work, but dang, after being sick for a week and with Stacie D still under the weather...we were dragging a bit. Still worked like machines, but I am feeling it now. I am taking time to create this post, but all I can think about is a hot shower and closing my eyes. Oh rest....
I had an amazing time working with Stacie D. She is always in for an adventure. She loves to get into things that we have never done before, and she isn't afraid of hard work. We were of course talking about Steem all day. We took a break from the meeting in the PAL discord to go work, but we kept talking about.
When you are not emotional, but still very invested, it is easy to see the humor in things. While Stacie was working on top of the barn I couldn't help but get a video and make some jokes.
I can't help but notice that Stacie D up on top of that barn looks alot like Justin Sun on top of Old Steem! Tearing the roof off?
haha anyone? no? too soon? ok, more jokes later though.
Be well
