This morning started out like most every other morning. I woke up, lumbered into the living room....and looked at my phone.
Some how life has crept it's way into my life, and I seem to be using it all of the time. I might as well be a cyborg. It didn't used to be this way, and I even have a black out plan to prevent it in the future, but for now I am stuck right in the middle of a technology boom. I am an analog man in a digital world.
Everything that I am involved with has me using some sort of tech. I am a full time content creator. I am a digital business/community founder. I'm addicted to information. The more data the better!
I start the day by checking all of my posts. I start with Steemit.com, then facebook, then twitter, then youtube. Then I switch and check notifications and interactions on discord. Then I check the current market for different cryptos.
It is a routine that has slowly worked it's way into my life. It doesn't seem to matter what I am doing or where I am at. I am currently helping as a farm hand in Northern Michigan. We are surrounded by nature. Beautiful trees, snow, and animals. I try to take it all in, but dang it I should get a picture of it all haha.
I think that if we as people were to take 24 hours off of our tech we would start to shake. We would develop withdraw symptoms. We would start making excuses to turn our phones on, and then slowly let it take us over.
I think that we are at a real delicate time in history. Either we are going to continue down this road of tech dependency or we are going to recognize that we are missing some key aspects of what it means to be human.
Be well
