See, that's the wrong approach... I also have a credit card but I ensure that I never put more on it than I currently have in my bank account. Having to rely on credit and/or loans is very dangerous. God forbid, one more thing comes up and then you're definitely in trouble.

I only have a credit card so that I can raise my credit score for future benefits on large purchases. I don't use it as backup money which I don't have.

Strongly advise to avoid this situation in the future. It's burned too many people...
