If you want curation rewards from your stake you should let the value stay as high as you can.
Instead of giving out ~10 30% votes, you can give out ~10 90% votes, but you got to watch your vote power and not vote when it gets below 85%.

I think they said that you can make 20% return on your sp just by voting, but with a small vote like your's, you will have to vote only on posts that get rewards, no comments.
