Does ganging up to gather more rewards harm the majority or not?

It is readily apparent that absent any guidance 'from above' that the tendency is to reward the popular people far in excess of what is good for the community.

It is no fault of sweetsssj@sweetsssj that nearly everybody wants to be like her, beautiful, rich appearance, successful, and well liked, and so they vote her.

It is truly a tradgedy that someone so sweet gets caught up in something beyond her control, imo.

In this environment where only the popular people can get votes the majority is not going to want to continue to play the game beyond the point that it remains enticing to do so.

At some point the popular people will stop getting votes, or the less popular players will stop playing.

Ganging up to 'reward ourselves' seems like a good solution.

Perhaps if somebody could put out the data we could know and adjust our votes accordingly.

To me it seems that we should only vote as we have time to do so.

Autovoting, especially in streems, rewards content that may not have been voted in a 'more natural' environment.

I am about to experiment on letting my steemvoter go and follow my own recommendation of only organic input from here on out.

Sadly, I just re-upped for two months, but that may have to serve as my cost of doing the experiment.

By only voting the votes I would vote if I had time I think I serve the platform in the least artificial way that I can.

You, of course, have to do what you do.

Have a perfectly peaceful day.
