I could tackle these issues during agen story, but this came 1st, so here it is. Why does SCORPIO have robotits? Who designes non-sex robots as women? Does she identify with any gender? Why does she blink? U could say she wipes the camera lenses like that, instead of covering eyeballs with tears, but why not just regular wipers, like on car lamps? Does she have like holorecorders for holorecording, or is regular camera enough? Does holocam need lenses and wiping? Why does she even have lips and the lady hips?
And then SCORPIO breaks. U have Gemini Prime and SCORPIO now. Take them back - reverse engineer them. Just saying "not easily copied" doesnt solve the problem. If its not disintegrating as u look at it, u can easily copy the tech. And u have 2 models to work with.
Whats a big problem with SCORPIO? She keeps talking how superior she is, but she doesnt rly do anything outside of the scope of humans, or droids. The boasts and gloats sound empty. Id respect her, if she proved any of this, but she doesnt.
Droids r not a life form - its rly not difficult. "life" is very well defined. If it doesnt fit, u r not it. And droids dont fit. She doesnt metabloize, or reproduce. Imitating life does nothing to change the boundaries.
Now about the chapter specifically: WHAT A FUCKING COINCIDENCE - the lonely ship running some supplies somewhere just so happens to have 3 very important ppl on board ripe for the rescuing by main character and ABSOLUTLEY ACCIDENTALLY they all come from all 3 sides of the conflict. Not only that - the WHOLE SHIP HAS THE CAPACITY TO SHOOT OUT ONLY 2 PODS in time. Why not take 1 group with u on the shuttle?
Finally we have the overwhelming forces of 9 droids thrown against u this time - 4 more than on Zakuul swamps at the listening station, or 1 less, if we sum up both groups. Why no desperate, dramatic, tension-building, fatalistic comment there? I guess we didnt bring any character that needs to undergo an arc with us...
