Another week and another Splinterlands challenge, this time the last challenge of the year 2022, something that in the last 6 months, personally has been a little difficult for me for various situations, but still I continue to trust that everything can go better. But anyway, talking about the main topic of this post, the challenge is focused on a card of the DEATH deck, being one of the cards that I use the most of this deck especially for its ability "Thorns" and that card is: Cursed Windeku, an excellent card of the Melee type, which in addition to having the aforementioned ability, also has good stats in general terms, especially its life points, which are quite high, so these are the battles of the protagonist card of the challenge of the week:
In this first battle I focused on using only Melee cards, and the strategy was as follows: In first position I placed the main card of this week's challenge: Cursed Windeku, a card that as I mentioned before, being at LVL 3 is quite powerful and very useful, thanks to its "Thorns" ability, as well as its excellent stats. In the second position I put the old card: Spineback Wolf, a BETA card, quite old that nowadays is still useful, it also has the "Reach" ability, which as I have already mentioned several times is one of my favorite abilities of all Splinterlands, but also, like Cursed Windeku, it also has the "Thorns" ability. The next four positions in the formation feature cards with what is my favorite ability in all of Splinterlands: "Sneak" and those cards are: Silent Sha-Vi, Skeleton Assassin, Uraeus and in last position: Undead Badger.
All these cards with the "Sneak" ability that appear in this formation I use them a lot in my battles, as they have always been useful, the only one I use very little is Undead Badger, because besides having only one attack point, it is also a very weak card with only two life points, but sometimes it has been very useful, especially when the battle rule that limits you to use cards with a maximum of four mana cost is active.
This second battle is totally different from the first one, being mostly focused (with the exception of Cursed Windeku and Corpse Fiend) on cards that attack from a distance, the strategy being as follows: In first position again is the star card of this challenge - Cursed Windeku, an excellent card, very useful and powerful etc. In second position is a card of Magic Attack quite old: Undead Priest, a card that also has abilities that affect the enemy as: "Weaken" and "Slow". In third position I placed the aforementioned: Corpse Fiend, which is a card I used only to fill space, since I didn't have mana to use in any other card, but this card is also very useful in several moments.
In the last three positions are cards of the Rank Attack type, being the next two, that is, the cards that are in fourth and fifth position, two very old cards, of the oldest and first cards I had in my collection, those cards are: Haunted Spider, whose ability "Poison" is extremely useful and Twisted Jester, whose ability "Snipe" is another one of my favorite abilities. While in last position is a slightly more "recent" card: Undead Archer.
