I was 9 years old when I got addicted to sports. I played different kinds of sports, games like table tennis, video games, bicycle riding, and football. My most favorite however was playing football.

I loved playing Football, Not the baseball type, But the soccer type, I would play with my brother and his friends all day, and sometimes I find myself even playing football in my dreams at night, that was how I loved playing

My favorite part was the raking of the ball. I could rake maybe 300 rounds with different styles, shots and patterns. I always go into competitions with my brother and some of his friends, of which sometimes my team won, lost or tied. My passion for football developed into A talent.

I was so good at playing, other guys would want me to join their team during sport. I wanted to build up my talent into something amazing. I was thinking of going for a training class to further develop and improve my talent when the unexpected happened.

At 11, my talent and passion for football grew into a wide goose. But my stature and character changed. I started behaving and acting like a boy, I walked like a boy, I talked like a boy, I reasoned like a boy and I cut my hair like a boy, maybe because I always play with boys

In school I was being mocked at how I walked like a boy, my peer group and teachers were calling me names like tomboy, boygirl, manboy, well at first it really didn't border me that much, I was living just fine with the mockery until I was 14.

At 14 I had no girlfriends, because none wanted to associate with me. I looked like a boy, remember, all my friends were boys, and I loved it that way, because boys understand friends better, boys don't gossip about your problems or what you guys talked about to others, they're just simple fellows.

My mood of walking and talking became a problem to me and the people around me, soon anywhere I go people mistake and assume I am a boy.

My ID card in class three stated Male instead of Female, that was how crazy it was, and when the principal was asked why, he said "he didn't see me in person, but my passport was submitted on his desk, He thought i was a boy because I looked like one in the passport. 馃ぃ

Well my Mum became worried and she told me if I continue this way getting through teenagehood and adulthood will be difficult for me, getting through university and getting a husband will be too difficult for me. Aside from that, she doesn't want me to further my dreams of being a footballer, because I'll find it hard to settle down and get married. She always made the statement that girls dont play football.

And with that I see my dreams shattered, without any encouragement i stopped playing all kinds of sports, football in particular. Though I still love playing and I can still rake a ball up to maybe a hundred, but I haven't played for a long time since I was 15.

All in all the most important thing I learnt was never let go of your talent, cause I haven't found one since childhood and if I were to change anything it should be that people should get all the encouragement and support to do whatever they feel is right for them. They should not be laughed at or become a laughing stock among peers, but follow their passions. People should be treated equally, not because of how they look, thier background, disability, or what they can do.
