Fly Me to the Moon is a film that was released in this year 2024, directed by Greg Berlanti, being of the genre of comedy and romance. I must say that at the beginning I was quite reluctant to see the film, at first impression it did not call my attention, but I decided to watch it and share my opinion with you.
La otra cara de la luna es una cinta que se estren贸 en este a帽o 2024, dirigida por Greg Berlanti, siendo del g茅nero de la comedia y el romance. Debo decir que el principio estuvo bastante reacia de ver el filme, a primera impresi贸n no me llamaba la atenci贸n, pero decid铆 verla y compartir mi opini贸n con ustedes.
What is the movie about? As I told you before, the film The Other Side of the Moon is a production of the romance and comedy genre, based on the events that took place in 1969, when man first stepped on the moon, or at least that is what was said and shown. With the Cold War, we saw the race and struggle between the then Soviet Union (USSR) and the United States, to be the most powerful country in the world, the struggle between two different models of countries. The truth is that the special race was one of the great struggles between these countries, who would be the first to step on the moon.

Como les dije anteriormente, el filme La otra cara de la Luna es una producci贸n del g茅nero de romance y comedia, basada en los hechos ocurridos en el 1969, cuando por primera vez el hombre piso la luna, o al menos eso fue lo que se dijo y se mostr贸. Con la Guerra Fr铆a, vimos la carrera y lucha por la entonces Uni贸n Sovi茅tica (URSS) y los Estados Unidos, por ser el pa铆s m谩s poderoso del mundo, la lucha entre dos modelos de pa铆ses distintos. Lo cierto es que la carrera especial era una las grandes luchas entre estos pa铆ses, quien llegar铆a primero a pisa la luna.
That is where our main characters come in. Kelly Jones is a publicist, who is hired by the U.S. government to improve the image of NASA, after the previous failures where the mission to reach the moon, would have if not a total failure, even with the loss of life of the astronauts in charge of this important task. We also have Cole Davis, who is one of the main people in charge of this mission, a former member of the U.S. Air Force, who had the desire to complete the mission. Two very different characters, where Kelly was a beautiful woman, who liked to deceive people for personal purposes of selling the products, which is why she was hired. On the other hand, Cole was a bit difficult, but the main reason was that he did not want to make any more mistakes within the Apollo mission.
All铆 es donde entran nuestros personajes principales. Kelly Jones es un publicista, quien es contratado por el gobierno estadounidense para mejorar la imagen de la NASA, luego de los anteriores fracasos donde la misi贸n de llegar a la luna, habr铆a si no un total fracaso, incluso con la perdida de vida de los astronautas encargados de esta importante tarea. Tambi茅n tenemos a Cole Davis, quien es uno de los principales encargados de esta misi贸n, un antiguo militar de la fuerza a茅rea de los Estados Unidos, quien ten铆a el deseo de completar la misi贸n. Dos personajes muy distintos, donde Kelly era una mujer hermosa, quien le gustaba enga帽ar a las personas con fines personales de vender los productos, raz贸n por la cual fue contratada. Por otro lado, Cole era un poco dif铆cil, pero la raz贸n principal era que no quer铆a cometer m谩s errores dentro de la misi贸n de Apolo.
These two characters have been attracted to each other since the first time they met, but each one of them is focused on their work, and several circumstances prevent them from being together and that's where the intrigue comes in, will these two characters stay together? The plot of the film did not convince me completely. It does show us one of the most historical facts of mankind, how supposedly man arrived to set foot on the moon, as well as the different hypotheses concerning this subject, since it is shown how the fear of failing again in the mission, they wanted to deceive people. In the 11th opportunity (Apollo 11) was where it was successfully completed.
Estos dos personajes sienten una atracci贸n desde la primera vez que se vieron, pero cada unos concentrados en su labor, adem谩s de diversas circunstancias que suceden, impiden que estos est茅n juntos y all铆 es donde entra la intriga, 驴ser谩 que estos dos personajes quedar谩n juntos? La trama de la pel铆cula no me termin贸 de convencer de un todo. S铆 nos muestras uno de los hechos m谩s hist贸ricos de la humanidad, de como supuestamente el hombre lleg贸 a pisar la luna, adem谩s de las diferentes hip贸tesis referentes a este tema, ya que se deja ver como al tener el temor de fracasar por nuevamente en la misi贸n, se quiso enga帽ar a las personas. En la oportunidad 11 (Apolo 11) fue donde se logr贸 completar con 茅xito.
When watching the film I wonder if man really stepped on the moon and this is one of the virtues that I find the film, that despite finding the plot a little boring, but it has its touch of suspense and see how was the outcome of the story and the events surrounding this achievement. I think the plot focuses more on the Apollo mission, than on romance and comedy, although we see several funny and charming moments within the story of The Other Side of the Moon.
Al ver la pel铆cula me surge la duda si realmente el hombre lleg贸 a pisar la luna y esta es una de las virtudes que le encuentro a la pel铆cula, que a pesar de encontrar la trama un poco aburrida, pero tiene su toque de suspense y ver como era el desenlace de la historia y los acontecimientos entornos a este logro. Creo que la trama se centra m谩s en la misi贸n Apolo, que en el romance y la comedia, aunque vemos varios momentos divertidos y encantadores dentro de la historia de La otra cara de la Luna.
What I did love about the variants we have in the film is the photography, the recreation of the period within the film and the different scenarios we see. Visually, the film is a 10, but there are other aspects that leave much to be desired, but especially in the plot and that is where I have doubts about the work of the director and the final editing that was presented to the viewer. Certainly, the story has great potential, which undoubtedly could have been a great success, but as far as the story is concerned, the film notably lowers its score.
Lo que s铆 me encant贸 de las variantes que tenemos en el filme es la fotograf铆a, la recreaci贸n de la 茅poca dentro del filme y los diferentes escenarios que vemos. Visualmente, la pel铆cula es un 10, pero existen otros aspectos que dejan mucho que desear, pero sobre todo en la trama y all铆 es donde me entra la duda del trabajo del director y el montaje final que se present贸 al espectador. Ciertamente, la historia tiene un gran potencial, que sin lugar a dudas pudo ser un gran 茅xito, pero en cuanto a la historia, la pel铆cula baja notablemente su puntuaci贸n.
As far as the cast is concerned, we have Scarlett Johansson as Kelly, who does an excellent job with her role and really shows the personality of the character in question. On the other hand, Cole Davis was played by Channing Tatum, being one of the reasons why I was curious to see the movie. Woody Harrelson played a supporting role, but with a great importance within the story. I liked the cast and it was one of the things I enjoyed about the movie, even though the story didn't really convince me at all.
En cuanto al reparto refiere, tenemos a Scarlett Johansson como Kelly, quien hace un excelente trabajo con su papel y muestro realmente la personalidad del personaje en cuesti贸n. Por otro lado, Cole Davis fue interpretado Channing Tatum, siendo una de las razones por la cual me dio curiosidad de ver la pel铆cula. Woody Harrelson hizo un papel secundario, pero con una gran importancia dentro de la historia. El cast me gust贸 y fue una de las cosas que pude disfrutar de la pel铆cula, a pesar de que la historia realmente no me convenci贸 de un todo.
The other side of the moon is a film that tells us about one of the most important milestones of man and NASA, as it is to have reached the moon. The film has a touch of romance, as well as the comedy that Scarlett Johansson gives it, with a character who is crazy in her role as a compulsive liar, plus she always gets what she wants, no matter what she has to do. This is without a doubt my favorite character in the film and one that I had fun with. The highlights of the film are the visuals and its adaptation to the era, with a good soundtrack which was one of the aspects I missed touching on earlier.
Opini贸n final
La otra cara de la luna es una pel铆cula que nos cuenta uno de los hitos m谩s importantes del hombre y la NASA, como es haber llegado a pisa la luna. El filme tiene un toque de romance, al igual que la comedia que le da Scarlett Johansson, con un personaje que es alocada en su papel de mentirosa compulsiva, adem谩s que siempre logra lo que quiere, sin importar lo que tenga que hacer. Este sin lugar a dudas es mi personaje favorito de la pel铆cula y con la cual me pude divertir. Lo m谩s destacado del filme es lo visual y su adaptaci贸n a la 茅poca, con una buena banda sonora que fue uno de los aspectos que me falt贸 tocar anteriormente.
Even though the plot did not convince me, I would still recommend the movie. The reason for this is that everyone has a different idea of what I saw and it is always good to have several opinions. If I had to rate the movie, it would be with a 7, only because of the performances of the cast, especially Scarlett and Channing, without leaving aside Woody Harrelson.
A pesar de que la trama no me convenci贸, recomendar铆a la pel铆cula. La raz贸n de esto, es que cada quien tiene una idea distinta de lo que vi y siempre es buena tener varias opiniones. S铆, tendr铆a que puntuar la pel铆cula ser铆a con un 7, tan solo por las actuaciones del cast, sobre todo de Scarlett y Channing, sin dejar a煤n lado a Woody Harrelson.
