A very close friend of mine, so much so that I consider him my best friend, recommended a cell phone game called Free Fire. The first thing I should mention is that this game is a battle royale type game; that is, a game of real battles, where the winner was determined by the last one to finish on the battlefield as is the case with Free Fire. The same was developed by 111 Dots Studio, while its release on the market was on December 4, 2017 for android which was the device I tested it. The truth is that this kind of game is not my favorite, however on the recommendation of my friend as I mentioned above and because this game is very popular, one of the most downloaded and award winning as far as video games for phones are concerned, So I decided to download it and see what it is about and the truth is that I had a good experience in terms of gameplay because I had a lot of fun but in other aspects of the game was not so well, but I will develop them later in the explanation of each of the aspects that I normally touch in my publications on analysis, experience or opinion about a video game.

Battle royale, sometimes referred to in English as battle royale, is a video game genre that combines the elements of a survival video game with last player standing gameplay. Battle royale video games challenge a group of players, starting with minimal equipment, to search for weapons and eliminate other opponents, while avoiding being left outside a "safe area" (the playing field becomes smaller), with the winner being the last player standing. The name of the genre is taken from the 1999 Japanese novel Battle Royale which features a similar last player standing theme.

First I must start talking about the gameplay and I must tell you that the game seems interesting to me because it is a game with massive battles, where there are a total of 50 players and the winner is determined by whoever is left alive last, where the player must collect weapons, healing packs and other equipment that are in the game but still not so clear to me because I do not have much time in the game, but I think with what I get to play I can tell you a first experience. The game is in first person perspective where the battles are online; that is, you need an Internet connection to play it and not only for that, but you need to download updates and packs. The player is launched from an airplane and he can say where he is launched, where it suits him best. The games have a duration of only 10 minutes, where we have a very large map but this is closed and if you stay out of the sector you will lose life until you die and lose the game.

In control of this game is quite simple or at least that's what it seemed to me, where on the left side of our screen is a cross where we can choose where to move (left, right, back or forward), plus other options where we shoot, we crouch, kneel to hide, a sight and other options. Anyway as I said the control is simple where the player should only concentrate on the fun and enjoy the game.

As for the game modes we have in Free Fire we find Classic Mode, Qualifier Mode, a practice mode, a Cooperative Mode and maybe other modes, but these are the ones I got to try. The classic mode is the simplest mode where the player is launched in one of the two most disappointed in this mode and the player must try to be the last in the field to win, where we can play Solitaire, Duo or Squad, there where comes the cooperative mode being this one of the ones I like the most because teamwork always pleased me. We have a mode where the player can practice his shots, how to move, how to take the elements that we find in the fields and other things that will facilitate the good performance within the game and thus obtain the best possible achievements. The qualifying mode is another interesting one, for me the main one, because here for winning the games we get points that we accumulate and so we get a kind of league and this restarts depending on the league at the end of each season that has the game.

Well, now that I have finished explaining my experience with the gameplay of this game, now I am going to touch the technical part, such as the graphics and sound, which in general terms and if I am honest, I did not like it at all, I was quite disappointed. As for the graphics these seem to me that they are flat, both the visual effects and textures and modeling of objects, structures that make up the stage where the competitions take place, in addition to the characters that are not very well worked or is what I think. One of the things in the graphics that I do like are the artistic part more than all the skins of the players that are impressive in many cases. The game works well, it is very fluid or at least I did and I did not notice many errors which is something that I can highlight. As far as the sound is concerned this is normal nothing that surprised me, the sound effects and environmental sounds work well but that's it. What stands out to me about the sound is that we can hear the voices of other players, but in many things this tends to deconcentrate, so I mute it, but in many cases this is good because there is more interaction between players. The soundtrack works well, but it lacks variety in the musical themes. The menu is usually simple nothing that is complicated to understand at the time of starting in this game.

In conclusion, Free Fire is a pretty entertaining and fun game, where you can enjoy the most in terms of gameplay because it is easy to play, good game modes, where we must try to survive in the field with many opponents. Technically the game is a setback, although it is not the worst but it is not outstanding, the developer did a poor job in terms of graphics and sound, being the graphic section the one that disappointed me the most. As I mentioned in this post the game has its flaws but the truth is that I was quite entertained by the gameplay which I think is good and as the game is quite popular this is a plus since it is the most downloaded game in recent years so I recommend it to those who have not tried it yet.
