Well, consider that the rewards that get paid for blog posts are none lineair. The big players get more, the beginners get close to nothing. That's not really inviting to new users, or people with not much money. It's a decision in the wrong direction.
And what I mean with having too much power on the platform is mostly regarding the downvoters. If you know that someone has a massive amount of Steem Power, will you go against his oppinion if you think differently? Some are abusing this power and will downvote you. Or, even if you upvote someone you like, but they don't, they might downvote you too!!!
