Who was to blame in the movie "Acrimony"?

Alot of my friends have been arguing over this for months, let's see what the folks on musing have to say.
I have to ask, in your opinion, who do you think was at fault in the movie "Acrimony"? Was it Robert the selfish and lazy husband who wanted to perfect his battery so that he could give his wife the world or was it Melinda, the loving and devoted wife who obviously had crazy written all over her? I'd appreciate it if everyone who's seen this movie could answer this question, explain your reasoning behind your answer and let's figure this thing out together. Just exactly who is to blame?
