Friends. It is "Thanksgiving Day" in the USA. It is the holiday before Christmas that is mostly overlooked in today's modern world.
It wasn't always like that though. But, it did originate as a harvest festival. Much about the holiday can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving_(United_States)
The photo above also is shown on the Wikipedia link above.

What I want to do though on this post. Is to show what I have been doing to cleanup and clear out the debris from the "hurricane storm." Even the debris trucks have made their last go around for the final pick up.
The ditches along the road filled up with water.
Many neighbors had left the area expecting a storm surge of high waves. Luckily that didn't happen. But the water remained in the ditches for some time. So I got to deal with the tall grass and the pine cones. It was a mess.
You may remember that I had planted some Poinsettias in my garden. It is a garden in progress.
You can see the location of the garden by the road that is nearby.
I have been using the grass and wood chip cuttings to place on the garden.
All the grass and wood chips from the mower went onto the garden.
You can see how wet it was and still is.
The end of the ditch at my neighbor's driveway is still not finished. Too much water.
Look at how much yard debris I have picked up the second time now. And I still am not finished.
But I have now finished one side of the yard though. What a relief. It is looking much better.
Remember? My neighbor had removed the large fallen limbs before I got here.
That was a big help. Thank you neighbor.
Before we upload this post. Let's take one final look at my garden area. I have much work to do on it before it is finished the way I want it to be. But we have a good start on it for now.
Thank you my Steemit Friends for following along with me on my Steemit journey.
I do not count anything as being permanent. But I do want Steemit to remain for the rest of my life and beyond.
I will never give up for you my Steemit Friends. I will always try to do what I can and what I can learn.
Pat and I are planning on going to the Orlando Steemit Meetup. And so can you.
We would love to see you there. Steemit is at the present time in it's infancy.
I have pasted the link below to register for your convenience.
We have a wonderful opportunity to meet with one another and to learn from those that are committed to Steemit.
See you there.
Thank you
Francis
