Friends. We hear the words "decentralization" a lot these days. The big reason is because of control.
If we can be controlled with what we say and what we are permitted to post on social media.
Then we become mind control slaves to the political correctness flavor of the day.
That is some of the reason for Steemit.
Steemit runs on top of a decentralized network named Steem. Like Bitcoin, Steem is a blockchain with transferable tokens. In addition to moving tokens from one place to another, Steem is also a text content and metadata database that applications or websites can connect to. Through these apps, Steem users can transact and interact with the Steem database. Instead of using cryptographic hashes as addresses like many blockchains do, user-chosen alphanumeric account names are used. With human readable account names, transactions can be made directly from an identity to an identity, making them easier to understand than hexadecimal hashes.

More decentralization is being made available to humans around the world. Too much to try to keep up with and be knowledgeable of every aspect of it.
But https://d.tube is something we know is coming and is already here being available in the 0.05 version.
The Youtube version being used by Terry Brock here shows a little about what we can expect from DTube going forward in time. It is something that will be used a lot by present time YouTube users I believe.
The rewards are too much to be ignored if you post good content.
You will want watch this video
Anyone posting videos can get Upvotes on Steemit and maybe the added upvote of DTube as well.
"Using DTube videos."
There can be some problems with this version. It is being worked on now as I write this.
Later and newer versions are sure to come.
You can view the full version here from Terry Brock's Steemit blog here.

This will show you a little more of what DTube is and how it works,
What is DTube?
DTube is an application fully written in javascript, that runs in the browser, that allows you to upload and watch videos on top of the IPFS Network. Moreover, it uses STEEM as a database and enables earning rewards from your uploads.
More explanation of it can be found here from the source of introduction:

Those that use Youtube for video content creation may know the Youtube policy for posting videos.
Advertisers want Youtube to be all cleaned up and pretty to advance their own cause and purpose.
With DTube. Since it is decentralized. You post what you want.
But, remembering that only good content will get an upvote from the Steem Power available.
And it can be very generous. Look for your self.

This shows a little of what the link will look like.
When you see the "dtube" in the upvote column. You know you have scored with DTube.
Thank you for following along with me in this search for decentralization and DTube in particular.
I hope you have found something interesting to you and useful.
We can all continue to support Steemit the best way we know how today.
Tomorrow? We may learn something new.
