The sound of the piano played and there she was as perfect as every day. No matter how disheveled she was, when she was sitting the piano keys became heavenly between her fingers, how I wished I could have cheered those sad eyes with the deep love I felt for her in silence.
Miss Salisbury did not adorn herself with pearls, but she adorned those sumptuous pearls given to her by lords all over the kingdom yet she seemed unhappy with the life she had been given, she would sit at the window of her room and seem to be absorbed or lost in the vastness of the green of the adjacent hills.
I who could not stop looking at her grew up accompanying my father always to his service duties, of course I could never get beyond where I was supposed to be. But that did not stop me from witnessing the direction that the young lady's life would take, she was someone different, she did not want to get married, have children, much less confine herself to a house to serve a husband with a very active sex life. On the contrary, Annalise wanted to study and be something important, she did not conform to the whims of her time nor did she consent to meetings with other young ladies.
In many circles of the city it was rumored how masculine and unladylike Lord Salisbury's daughter was, but those were the lies of those women who surely envied her courage to oppose the standards of her time. Even I have no doubt that there was not a more beautiful and feminine woman in all London than Miss Annalise, who with her class stole the glances of all and sundry in the kingdom.
She had been orphaned at a very early age, but her father had done all he could after the cancer that consumed his wife's term by arranging for the nanny Edith to bring up his firstborn and his youngest son, Master Connor. She never said it but the absence of her mother ended up plunging her into a deep depression that would last until her puberty, time after the courtship of Duke Wes who years later would go to study in France leaving Annalise with the promise to return.
Some time later it was known that the Duke was courting a wicked Parisian, Miss Salisbury never had any love option again and on the contrary she found love in every boy she liked. It was an open secret of the amorous wanderings that scandalized the city to the point of arousing the curiosity of her respected father who patiently demanded her behavior.
But she and her brother would mark the beginning of a generation that would no longer have to conform to obsolete social norms. They both seemed to be ahead of their time and I enjoyed watching them defy the imposed moral codes and of course I grew up in love with Miss Annalise and wanting to be like Master Connor when I grew up.
But although I wanted her and her immense beauty to someday be noticed by that son of a worker, it never happened. I only remember one opportunity when I could see a part of her torso, when without caring she left her room towards the hallway where I was petrified and with an erection that I would not even notice until the Se帽orita noticed it and gave me the most beautiful gift I had ever received in my life, a moment that not even the most forgetful of gentlemen could forget.
One kiss would mark the beginning of my sex life, I indulged in onanism like a born addict all the week after that event, sadly I would never see Miss Annalise Salisbury again who a month later would die in a terrible accident in her car leaving that teenager grief stricken and dreaming every night of the perfect relationship we would have had. I would never get over the loss of my first love and my parents never understood the bitter emptiness left in my life by the woman who with a single kiss had made me hers for life, even though she herself did not understand it.
