Maybe we could be happy if the clocks worked backwards. We could be born the worst and die the worst, but something could still go right. We could love the world from the moment we open our eyes until the moment we close them. Maybe we could turn back time and bring back what we lost. We could go back to our homes. If we were born at the age of 80 and slowly move towards the age of 18, life would be an endless bliss. But it didn't happen, it won't.
I watched it again today for the first time after watching it years ago. The film can be divided into two. The first half is much more gripping, exciting and more fairy tale. The second half has dramatic, emotional and logical strains. I think that this film, which is top-notch in everything, should be watched, although the duration is long.
The film is based on the 1922 short story of the same name by F. Scott Fitzgerald and stars Brad Pitt as the titular character, who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. The film also stars Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, Julia Ormond, and Jason Flemyng.
The film follows the life of Benjamin Button, who is born with the appearance and physical limitations of an elderly man. Despite his unusual appearance, he is raised by his mother, who dies when he is a teenager. Benjamin then sets out on a journey to discover the world, encountering a cast of characters along the way, including his love interest, Daisy (Blanchett), and his father (Flemyng), whom he never knew.
One of the standout aspects of the film is its use of visual effects to portray Benjamin's aging process in reverse. The special effects team, led by Eric Barba, spent over two years creating the visual effects for the film, which involved a combination of makeup, prosthetics, and digital technology. The result is a seamless and convincing portrayal of Benjamin's physical transformation, which adds to the emotional impact of the story.
Another standout aspect of the film is the performances of its cast, particularly Pitt and Blanchett. Pitt is convincing as Benjamin, capturing both the physical and emotional aspects of the character's unique journey. Blanchett also gives a strong performance as Daisy, imbuing her character with depth and complexity.
The duration of the movie is very long, between the time Benjamin leaves the nursing home and stays at the hotel and the time he goes to Paris, I frankly broke away from the movie, but the movie becomes beautiful again in the sequel. A bitterness fills you towards the finale because you know that the inevitable end is approaching.

A thought-provoking and beautifully crafted film that explores themes of love, loss, and the passage of time. The innovative use of visual effects and the powerful performances of the cast make it a movie worth watching.
If you think that you are late for some things in life; you are wrong.
