Oh wow.

I was aware of the duplicity with the seven pathways and the menorah on the plaque but I never really thought about the actual number of candles. The menorah as a symbol for the Jewish faith was my only association so far but now you've sent me down the google rabbit hole of why do "temple menorahs" have seven lights while "Hanukah menorahs" have 9... but I think I better go to bed now.
