wellll... I'm not sure where this idea with the dust is coming from, but that's @dustbunny's job ;)

the kittens do in fact bring quite "ordinary" cuddles, and those are dusty cuddles, which is where @catnet will try to come in and cuddle on top of it a few days later, which is also more likely if you have more CATnip.
