I thought it would be interesting to show how each software translates Fuji Raw files (raf). None of the images were edited and are just a direct jpeg save from the software.
I'm mainly doing this because Aftershot doesn't work with .raf files and I'm moving onto a fuji system. I'll be posting more comparisons later in the week and a more in depth look into each software as I continue to use them.

Some thoughts:
All 3 have similar level of detail and ability to handle noise rather nicely, however, how they deal with colour and bright lights is fairly stark.
On1 really likes to push colours right from the start but at the same time seems to loose detail rather quickly. It doesn't seem to know when to stop when it comes to bright lighting.
Luminar seems like it's afraid of colour :/
Capture One in my opinion strikes the best balance of both worlds. I took some portrait shots and also notice that the skin looks better out of the bag than the other software, can't really share those photos but I'll be doing further testing and showing some people photos later.
And again as for detail and noise handling, all 3 deal with it similarly and as a result I'm not going to bother posting 100% crop images. My biggest concern is essentially going to be colour and overall detail, rather than pixel peeping.

As I continue to use all 3 software I will also comment on the usability and what not, although Luminar as well as On1 seem like they have nailed it for easy use. Capture One has been a bit of a challenge to learn but not anything incredibly crazy. Just not as friendly as the other two.
