I think STEEM is in a good position to compete. But that being said, SMT's do need to work and solve some of the current issues. The head start that STEEM has with number of users is a huge advantage.

I think the key distinction here is that Steemit is on boarding users to STEEM. They are also delegating STEEM to “pay” for the accounts. Right now on EOS no such system exists yet. If you don’t have an

I think the next day he stated that the formula would not be changed. The error they made in the formula ended up being balanced on both sides of the equation. Most of the volatility has calmed right now

I would guess they are pretty busy. Binance EOS wallet came online this week. TRX main net wallet is still not live. They also had that pump and dump unusual trading. If they are running a full STEEM node
