This and That
This life is enough, to be and experience from
It speaks for itself like wind across the mountains
My soul entwines the two and becomes one
As sunlight through forest trees to spring fountains
A stone made new of former falls down steep slope
Unique as the moment in time and as time conceived
Disregard on wind carries storm beats rain wears hope
Miraculous sun how you shine, burn, and then leave
This life is all beauty, casting shadows on fields
It stands by itself like a tree, dry leaves in the wind
My spirit unravels torn in two, lightening peels
As moonlight on ripples once here and gone again
A sky made of dreams made of former torn sails
Mysterious as divine intervention, bird on the wing
Kaleidoscope eyelid of Raven turning blue black and pale
Passion afire glowing from ignorant darkness to sing
That life was a leaky cup cracked imperfect and born
It rose by itself like a seedling pushing through mire
A soul entangled with roots in decay, flower in storm
And sunlight ill given by trees growing much higher
A raindrop made of mother's need for reason or esteem
Seeking as moths do, sure destination candle flame
Striving falling faster resisting certain death in a stream
Compassion calm waters an estuary, accusers defamed
That life was a house fire that took more than it gave
It shined by itself like a beacon, lighting the way home
A spirit released, no dragon protecting gold in a cave
And moonlight is silver as stardust around carbuncle stone
A light made of magic out beyond time, black, and space
Observing from love, deep emotion, intention, and feel
Where identities fly away from a wine covered face
