In a few days it will be 16 years since we first met and the journey of our common life began. A journey that led us to new and undiscovered paths. We have explored the world around us, as well as our inner selves, fired with enthusiasm and inquiring urge and we never stopped changing and evolving.
Two rolling stones, moving side by side and never drift apart.
During all that years I never thanked you enough for enriching our daily life with your passionate and playful attitude, a gift from your inner child that is always present and active.
How could I get bored with you buzzing around all day long, get excited with every little detail that draws your attention?
Sometimes too active for my disposition but always charming :)
I never thanked you enough for the millions of lists that you have written over the years, for every aspect of our life, organising the clutter (that you also create 😊), in a pendulum eternally swaying from chaos to orderliness, from despair to creativity.
Your power of list-making is a super skill that hasn't been properly acknowledged but is definitely amazing!
And last but not least, I never thanked you enough for embracing your dark side. The one that we all have, more or less, but it is so hard to identify and deal with.
In all those years we have seen, together and each one on its own, a lot of light and a lot of darkness. The needed is not to eliminate darkness, that's impossible, but to accept that it is part of our life and cope with it until the light comes back.
The words are addressing (obviously) to @traisto, my lifelong partner but the post is also my response to Weekend-Engagement writing topics: WEEK 152 by
@galenkp.
The topic I have chosen is
Three things
Share three positive things about your own current partner and explain each one. Write a post of at least 300 words and use photos you personally took where possible.
I took the pictures yesterday, during an evening walk, very close to our new base which is also the tinder of a brand new chapter in our lives.
This post would have been incomplete without the following song. Some of you already know Ren and you may recognise a few of his words in my writing.
All the pictures and the words are mine.
Thank you for reading and if you want to know more about me you can check out my introduction post.
