Or I could title this post : "From 7 to 47".
But let explain myself. I am on 47th day of posting daily and I don't mean just uploading a snapshot writing a couple of words below it. I mean elaborated posts that I try to make as interesting and appealing as I can. With a lot of pictures and some thoughts or information that some of you might find useful. I know that there are a lot of people on hive that write wonderful extensive posts every day for years, I even follow a few of them, but I was never so devoted into writing or into daily commitments, in general :)

The world is on the verge of a global nervous breakdown, steem community is in search of a new promise-land and the weather is too windy for any farm work. So in this scenery of absolute instability I put myself in a stability challenge. Something very simple. For 7 days I'll take (at least) one new photograph and share it here! How hard can it be?
During my 4 years on the chain I was posting usually a couple of times per week, sometimes more, sometimes nothing for a few weeks. My longest commitment so far was in March 2020 when I invented a personal 7-days challenge. The covid thing had just began, steem was on fire after the Tron - Sun invasion and I decided that it was a perfect time for some stability in my life! I was really proud that I managed to do those 7 posts on the roll!
Childish?
Maybe, but back then it sounded to me pretty big!

Today I was out at the farm working all day and I didn't had any time for photography so I just took a few shots of the village's spring on the afternoon when I went to fill my bottles with fresh water.
They turned out a little more moody than expected but I am quite happy with them.
And now here I am on the 47th day of an unannounced challenge that I never decided to do :)

Tomorrow we are moving. Ί have lived in more than a dozen places which I have called home so moving is not something that makes me uncomfortable. Each and every time I put all my energy and my good will to make the new place feel more homey and more intimate than the last one. And I will probably do the same for the next one. But all that goes for the real world. What about our virtual homes?
I was thinking of something like that even from September but it was on December 1st that it started to become a reality when I read at this post that @sjarvie5 had just began a 30 days challenge herself. A couple of comments later I was ready to give it a try, at least for a few days :)

First post on hive and peakd and it looks like nothing has changed!
But it definitely has. This is the first day of a new era and who is more suitable to announce the new day other than the rooster!
December was a very demanding month with a lot of physical work at the farm and many days I was sure that I was not going to find the courage to write something descent after work. But somehow I did and it felt pretty refreshing to occupy my brain with something different from my daytime's activities! And before I knew it the new year was here. And I kept posting daily!

Second day on hive and everything looks to be working smoothly. It's time to look ahead and make our new home as great as we can! I don't want to look back at all but, inevitably, steem news are reaching my eyes and they are really depressing. On one hand they are the confirmation that this hard fork was the best solution, on the other I feel like I am watching vandals destroying my house.

That's the 6th day of my little personal challenge.
During those days a hard fork has occur, a new blockchain has been created and tomorrow my country goes to a complete lock down as a precaution measure against the treat of covid 19, also known as coronavirus!
Myself, I am into the microcosm of my farm taking care of my trees and taking pictures of little flowers! I know I sound a bit out of reality but I can't help it, I am who I am!
I don't know if it is a new habit or a new addiction or maybe I just want your upvotes :)
I really don't know. But I know that when I wrote each and every one of those 47 posts (including this one) I was almost sure that it is the last one of this streak. I believe the same thing right now so probably that's why I am righting all this now instead of waiting and then have to write a post that would start like : I posted for x days on the roll but now it's over :(

Anyway the point of this challenge is to distract me from the chaotic surrounding so back into my microcosm! Today we had a very pleasant day here in Crete and as the 2 previous ones I spent it on the olive grove, pruning olive trees. And when it was time for the daily photo-shooting I chose my black friend to focus on!
The pictures and the text in quote are from the personal 7-days challenge that I did in 2020. It is just a few from the many pictures of that week, mostly with new edit and some small excerpts to get you in the mood!
I hope the formatting is not too confusing, jumping back and forth from 2020 to today :)
Since I have included old material, I am going to use the #showcasesunday tag, an initiative of @nonameslefttouse meant to revive old and potentially undervalued posts.
