The sky is dark, a reddish dark, the one caused by the dessert sand, travelling all the way from Africa to Europe. The south wind is furious, the trees are moving in a frantic dance, like they are about to start walking like eerie entities. Plastic bags and lost laundry are flying in the air. The temperature is over 30ºC (86ºF) and walking outdoors is quite a challenge.
Definitely not a day for photography, nor for wandering around. Myself I decided to play it safe and stay inside, editing a few pictures from last month that had remained in my hard drive, patiently waiting for their turn to be posted and seen!
The location is Nafplio, a small seaside town in Greece with many attractions and beauty. The pictures are taken during a walk from the old centre to the port and the coastal road. As for the date, it is March 5th, a month ago, on a brilliant spring day.
Nothing like the sandy hell that April was saving for us!
Windows have always been a favourite subject for my pictures. And this town has many beautiful windows!
And wonderful view to look at, when you open them :)
The Venetian fortress on a small islet, in the entrance of the port is a landmark for the town and apparently a nice view for the ambulance driver during his rest brake :)
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
The camera that I used is a Canon EOS 850D with an EF-S 18-135mm lens attached. I edited the photographs in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic
All the pictures and the words are mine.
