Discovering a beautiful wildflower meadow a few meters away from your home, in the most unexpected place, is a great joy. But sharing your discovery with your canine friend is even bigger!
I found out about this place a couple of days ago as I was having my walk and today I repeated it with some excellent company!

Tricky but interesting, actually very interesting!
But except from the company of my beloved ones, I had with me something else also beloved. My macro lens :)
Ever since I saw that first daisy of the year, two days ago, I knew that I had to come back and have some macro fun with all those wildflowers.
And that's exactly what I did :)
I find diving into the physiology of flowers and exploring the way the light is transforming their look, as one of the most amusing things to do with a camera in hand. And wildflowers are my favourite. For sure there are others bigger and probably more impressive ones but I prefer those tiny survivors that manage to be there every year without any care at all!
Spring of course is the best season for this amusement but when I have all those beauties around, season is the last thing I will think of!
There is even free food around if you are hungry and brave enough to peel prickly pears. I know that it is not so hard but it does take some caution to avoid the prickles and enjoy the juicy fruit! Anyway I wasn't hungry today so I just took a few pictures of them and moved on!
We had to go before the sun actually sets but I didn't mind. I was full of images and scents and anyway, I am sure I'll be back very soon :)
The camera that I used is a Canon EOS 6D mark II with an EF 100mm f2.8L macro lens attached. I edited the photographs in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic .
