Have I mention that I wanted once to become a pet photographer?
You know, like the ones in the big cities that specialise into making photoshoots of pets either on locations or even in the studio. My late dog had become my guinea pig as I was experimenting on different techniques and shooting ideas and I did learned a lot but the main flaw of my plan was that I could never get enough pet clients to support my business in such a small market as the Greek one.
Long story short I never become a pet photographer but I ended up with a bunch of pet pictures that are quite descent. So when I read that my friend @derangedvisions is restarting his contest and the first theme is pets I just had to take a look at my archive and pick my model :)
This longhair beauty is Luna and I had the pleasure of taking some pictures of her, a couple of years ago. Here you can see 10 from the more than 300 pictures that I took that day, edited in a different style than the one I used 2 years ago in this post. The frames are different too, although there is an inevitable resemblance :)
If you haven't heard of Wes's contest you can find the announcement post here with all the info you might need to enter. One singularity of this contest is that it is divided in two tiers, a professional and an amateur one, so that anyone can participate! And although I never actually become a professional pet photographer I am entering in the professional tier :)
There are a few more hours if you want to take part but even if you don't stay tuned on @derangedvisions account for a new theme every Sunday!
All the pictures and the words are mine.
Thank you for reading and if you want to know more about me you can check out my introduction post.
