This is the ancient theatre of Epidavros in Greece. It was built more than 2.000 years ago and it has enough room for 12.000 people! It is part of a complex dedicated to the ancient god of medicine, Asclepius. The most amazing thing is that it is still used as a theatre, during the summer. I have watched a lot of plays there and it is so surreal, the feeling that I am sitting on the same seats that people used to be sited so many centuries ago!
I visited again a few days ago and I didn't miss the opportunity to take a few new pictures of it. There were a few tourists wandering around and some groups too but in such a big construction they were hardly a few dots in the whole picture!
I edited them in black and white partly because there isn't much color anyway, so a b&w edit seemed appropriate and partly to take part to Deranged Photography Contest. The theme this week is "Black and White" and you have till Friday to take part!

All the pictures and the words are mine.
Thank you for reading and if you want to know more about me you can check out my introduction post.
