Returning to the subject, this is something that happens with video games too, there are franchises that for whatever reason, stop working or never have that impact on the public, and as we all know that this is a business, we must be very clear about this, because there are franchises that have been forgotten for many reasons.
Los videojuegos son una forma de entretenimiento que es consumida a nivel mundial, de hecho un gran porcentaje de la población, de hecho la gran mayoría, consume videojuegos, desde que Nintendo vino con la NES esto pasó, los videojuegos se convirtieron prácticamente en el entretenimiento por excelencia, junto al cine por supuesto. Como todo, y como el propio cine, no todo lo que sale se vuelve famoso y consumido en grandes cantidades, para nada, en el cine sobran más películas de nicho, hay muchas que llegan al estrellato y se convierten en obras mainstream, pero no es lo normal, de hecho en la actualidad pasa algo así, domina Marvel y sus películas, y muchas otras se quedan atrás en popularidad, lo que me parece una gran lástima, pero bueno. Volviendo al tema, esto es algo que pasa con los videojuegos también, hay franquicias que por lo que sea, dejan de funcionar o nunca tienen ese impacto en el público, y como todos sabemos que esto es un negocio, hay que tener muy en claro esto, pues hay franquicias que se han olvidado por muchas razones.
Baten Kaitos
I want to start this post with a very unknown game, at least I think it is, and I don't know how many will know it, I'm talking about Baten Kaitos, very niche franchise, which is at the level of fame with games like Sky of Arcadia. The reason why there are no more games of this franchise is very obvious, and you can see it for sure in many people here, sure they won't know it, and it's very normal, because I know it when I was looking for gamecube games, that's how I discovered this franchise. In quality there is nothing to say, they are very good games, with an original combat system, a gripping story and a spectacular soundtrack, I would say that the only ugly thing is the graphics it has, which are not attractive at all, but it makes up for it with everything else, which is high level, but good. I feel that Nintendo should plan to bring back this franchise as soon as possible, but I doubt it, because they already have enough with other JRPGs.
Quiero comenzar este post con un juego muy desconocido, al menos yo creo que lo es, y no sé cuántos lo conocerán, estoy hablando de Baten Kaitos, franquicia muy de nicho, que está a nivel de fama con juegos como Sky of Arcadia. La razón de que no hayan más juegos de esta franquicia es muy obvia, y se puede ver seguro en mucha gente acá, seguro no lo conocerán, y es muy normal, porque yo la conozco cuando buscaba juegos de gamecube, así fue que descubrí esta franquicia. En calidad no hay que decirle nada, son juegos muy buenos, con un sistema de combate original, una historia atrapante y una banda sonora espectacular, diría que lo único feo son los gráficos que tiene, que no son nada atractivos, pero lo compensa con todo lo demás, que es de alto nivel, pero bueno. Yo siento que Nintendo debería de planearse hacer regresar esta franquicia cuanto antes, pero lo dudo, porque ya tienen bastante con otros JRPG.
Another super forgotten saga is Sly Raccoon, it's even weird to think about the name of this franchise, because we are talking about a character that is very recognizable visually, I'm sure many people know him if you see him at first sight, because of the design he has, something very similar to what happens with Klonoa. I've hardly played anything of this franchise, but I know it has a good amount of fans somewhere, so anyway and I thought it would be good to include it, because of the little presence it has even though the character is clearly recognizable, because I've seen it in memes and everything, but it's amazing how little these games are talked about. Which are little as platform games, and very good by the way.
Otra saga super olvidada es la de Sly Raccoon, es hasta raro pensar en el nombre de esta franquicia, porque estamos hablando de un personaje que es muy reconocible a nivel visual, seguro que mucha gente lo conoce si lo ves a primera vista, por el diseño que tiene, algo muy parecido a lo que pasa con Klonoa. Yo casi no he jugado nada de esta franquicia, pero sé que tiene una buena cantidad de fanáticos en alguna parte, así que igual y pensé que sería bueno incluirla, por la poca presencia que tiene a pesar de que el personaje claramente es reconocido, porque lo he visto en memes y todo, pero es increíble lo poco que se hablan de estos juegos. Que son poco como juegos de plataformas, y muy buenos por cierto.

I played only two games of this franchise, F Zero X, and F Zero GX, which are the most important games it has had, and the last game that came out was impressive, in difficulty, graphics, the feeling of speed it gives you. I would like it to come back to see how Nintendo adapts this saga to the current standards, which in itself its last installment breaks them by far, that game is incredible, but at least it would be good to bring the last game and add online mode.
Este es otro caso peculiar al igual que Sly Raccoon, porque el personaje es ultra famoso, es una salvajada la fama que ha tomado el personaje de Capitán Falcon con la franquicia de Smash Bros, es un personaje que reconoces de inmediato, la voz, las frases que tiene, todo, es una peculiaridad que le agrega Smash Bros a algunos personajes que quizá no tengan la misma presencia que Mario o Link por ejemplo. Estoy hablando por supuesto de la franquicia de F Zero, que son juegos de carreras futuristas, donde los vehículos son prácticamente naves. Yo jugué solo dos juegos de esta franquicia, F Zero X, y F Zero GX, que son los más importantes que ha tenido, y el último juego que salió fue impresionante, en dificultad, gráficos, la sensación de velocidad que te da. Yo quisiera que regresará para ver como Nintendo adapta esta saga a los estándares actuales, que de por sí su última entrega los rompe de sobra, es increíble ese juego, pero mínimo estaría bien traer el último juego y agregarle modo online.

Para finalizar pongo una saga de la que ya he hablado en varias ocasiones, Silent Hill, le hice una review al segundo juego hace un tiempo, y es que esta franquicia me gusta bastante, es increíble el tiempo que ha pasado desde el último juego, prácticamente una década, y no hemos vuelto a saber nada de esta franquicia, más allá de P.T, que era un proyecto para Silent Hill creo, pero ya sabemos todos lo que sucedió, dudo mucho que lo retomen, y ojalá me equivoque. La razón por la que esta franquicia ya no saca juegos es incomprensible, tenía ventas decentes, pasó todo con el Team Silent y al final Konami destruyó la franquicia, aun teniendo juegos decentes como Homecoming, pero la destruyeron básicamente. Lo lógico sería que volviera, y sería una de las sorpresas más grandes en la industria de los videojuegos si eso llega a suceder.
