I was using my phone today for work calls and YouTube music and then put it down on my desk to make coffee. When I came back the screen was black and it wouldn't respond to any touches on screen or combinations of buttons. I tried to charge it and nothing came on the screen to indicate the phone was charging like it normally would if the battery was just dead.
I googled and watched videos about this to try various solutions but nothing would work. I contacted Google and it sounds like this happens after the latest update on Android for other Google Pixel users. I don't think I will be able to access old photos and will have to buy a new phone. I don't care about the cost that much but just the sentimentality of photos and the convenience of all my apps working and saved passwords etc. It's going to be painful to have to call my phone network to move my e SIM from a phone that doesn't work to a new phone. My back up phone now doesn't even allow e-sims so it isn't a long term solution.
If anyone has any fixes to unbrick a Google Pixel 6 Pro that allows me to access my photos again I'm all ears on what to try!
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. How's your week going?
