If you have resources... like a 4-core CPU, 1TB of space, and 16GB min of memory, you can run a consensus node (where you can verify blocks) aka, run a witness node.

Obviously, the more recent, the better, but effectively I had run a node (one of the many and this one is just for fun... ) on a 13 year old core duo... thing, and it works! DDR3 :D

Takes a bit but works :D And today, any recent Android thing, is even more powerful!
