Ha! As a freelancer, I can certainly empathise here.

While I'm still not as productive as I know I could be, I've honestly gotten a lot better over the last few months.

I've found that by planning for tomorrow during the evening helps me instantly know what needs to happen in the morning. Using Trello and splitting my work day into 2 hour containers within which I complete tasks, definitely helps too.

Having a written plan and holding yourself accountable to your tasks is the key. No longer letting myself get away with just frittering the day away without structure.
