The journalist's close ones have no doubt that he was abducted and murdered, because he wrote about matters for many uncomfortable people; Ziętara dealt with, among others themes of the so-called Poznan gray zone. His body has never been found.
Ziętara was last seen on September 1, 1992. He went to work in the morning, but he never got to the editorial office of "Gazeta Poznańska". Social Committee Jaroslaw Ziętara, who is struggling to explain the circumstances of the reporter's death, emphasizes that he was the only journalist in Poland who was kidnapped and killed to close his mouth.
The former senator does not plead guilty

Before the regional court in Poznań, the trial of Aleksandr Gavronik (agreed to give his name) is underway since January 2016. He is accused of inducing the bodyguards of Elektromis to kidnap, deprive him of liberty and then murder the reporter. The former senator does not plead guilty.

According to Kaźmierczak, one should expect that a long-term judgment will have to be waived for a long time. He also doubts that guilty persons will be punished. - Some people involved in this crime are no longer alive; I also have doubts about the success of the ongoing trial, which is now very ineptly run by the prosecutor's office - he admitted.
In 1998, the Poznań prosecutor's office recognized that Ziętara had been abducted and murdered. A year later, the investigation was discontinued because the body could not be found. In April 2011, the editors-in-chief of the largest Polish newspapers appealed to the authorities and the prosecutor's office to disclose all the circumstances of Ziętara's disappearance and investigation into the matter. This led to the analysis of this investigation in the General Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation resumed in 2011 continues until now
In mid-June 2011, the investigation was resumed at the Poznań prosecutor's office and extended; according to the decision of the General Prosecutor, they were transferred to Krakow. - The investigation resumed in 2011 is up to now - I have information from the National Public Prosecutor's Office that there are intense activities - everything is done in secret, which is good for the case - said Kaźmierczak on Friday.
